Both races begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday, October 14th.

Packet Pick-up

When you registered for the race you selected your pick-up location. For those racers who selected Tri-Cities, pick-up will be on Thursday, October 12 from

8am-4pm at Oasis Physical Therapy in Pasco (6825 Burden Blvd). For those runners who selected Yakima as their pickup area, we will have packets available at Vaux Shoes in Yakima (5635 Summitview Ave) on Friday, October 13th from 12pm-1:30pm. Packets will also be available that evening from 6-8pm at White Pass Ski Lodge(across the street from the Inn) during our spaghetti dinner. Finally, you can pick up your packets the morning of the race IN THE PARKING LOT, IN FRONT of Silver Beach Resort from 7-8am. Please do not contact any of these locations directly about packet pick-up. If you have questions or concerns about packet pickup, please contact Kate Mills at (509) 200-9726.

Parking

Parking will be available behind Silver Beach Resort on the beach of Rimrock Lake. Please DO NOT park in front of the motel. No parking will be permitted at the start of the race. Parking is also available at Trout Lodge, near the end of the Full Marathon, where Full Marathon participants can catch the shuttle. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged.

Shuttling

Transportation will be provided to the beginning of the race. The first shuttle will leave from Trout Lodge at 7:15 a.m. Two shuttles will leave from Silver Beach at 8:00 a.m. and a final shuttle will leave from Silver Beach at 8:30 a.m. The race starts at 9:00 a.m.

Aid Stations

There will be 8 aid stations this year along the race course. The first aid station will be located at approx. 5.25 on Hwy 12, just before the intersection for Tieton Rd. For those runners in the full marathon, the aid stations will be located around the Tieton Rd. loop at miles 9 and 11. All runners will then have access to aid stations at Silver Beach resort and at mile 9.9 for half marathon runners and approx. mile 16 for full marathon runners. The remaining aid stations for the full will be located at miles 19, 22, 24 and the finish. Each station will have water, Gatorade and basic first aid supplies. Aid stations at miles 11(for full marathoners on the Tieton loop) 9.9 and 16(for both races) and 22 will also have Gu. Both finish areas will have additional food and drink. There will also be an on-sight EMT available for minor injuries. Portable toilets will be located at the start of the race, at the end of the ½ marathon behind Silver Beach Resort , just passed the tunnel on Hwy 12 and at the finish of the full.

Spectators

Due to road detours this year, and to keep runners safe, we ask that there are no spectators at the intersection of Hwy 12 and Tieton Rd. You can still drive down Tieton Rd to cheer on the marathon runners, however, be aware there will be added traffic due to the construction detour and we ask that drivers consider the safety of the runners on the road. Spectators are welcome to park behind Silver Beach Resort and cheer runners on as they come into the half finish as well as at the full marathon finish near 27250 on Hwy 12. Runners that have contact with spectators at any other point in the race may be disqualified. Course officials will be noting splits at various aid stations.

Course Information

The course is open to traffic with Yakima County Sheriff flaggers at the start of the race and at the intersection of Hwy 12 and Tieton Rd. Because of detours from Hwy 12 to Tieton Rd. this year, there will be a patrol car leading traffic as well as added signs and sheriffs to slow traffic and keep marathon runners safe along the Tieton Rd. Everyone must run on the eastbound shoulder (south side) of Highway 12. The eastbound lane does not always have a wide shoulder and would require you to cross the highway. Safety is paramount, so be sure to wear bright clothing. As race day approaches, be sure to monitor the traffic cam at White Pass.

Race Cutoff Times

Because this is a point-to-point race that is open to traffic, the half marathon cutoff time is 3:00:00 and the full marathon cutoff time is 5:00:00 or your Boston Marathon Qualifying time, whichever is greater. There is no early start.
